Trader Joe’s Free Range Chicken Broth

My foray into making another soup was partly motivated by D’s purchase of Trader Joe’s Free Range Chicken Broth when we were at our folks house cooking last weekend.  Though I use a lot of canned chicken broth/stock, I can’t stand the smell when it is first opened, and I find most of them bland, too salty or just plain YUK.  I would never dream of eating it right out of the can, even if warmed up.

But, I could tell that the Trader Joe’s chicken broth was different right when we opened it.  It actually smelled fresh and a little like roasted chicken instead of smelling gross.  It actually tasted rather nice right out of the carton. It even has a great color and the ingredients are simple.

So, I’m sold and now will look for opportunities to use it!
